Directorate of Counselling Advances Workplace Drug and Substance Use Policy
The Directorate of Counselling, led by Director Mr. Wills Ayub Ombima, held a week-long workshop in Naivasha in April 2026 to finalize the Public Service Alcohol, Drug and Substance Use Workplace Policy ahead of formal approval.
Once approved, the policy will provide a structured framework for prevention, early intervention, rehabilitation, and improved productivity across the public service. It also seeks to reduce stigma and discrimination, address human rights concerns, and promote the dignity, wellbeing, and welfare of public servants affected by alcohol, drug and substance use challenges.
