Human Resource Development through training scholarships is key to bridging skill gaps and enhancing public service delivery.

By equipping officers with advanced knowledge and specialized skills, the government is preparing a workforce ready to tackle emerging challenges and deliver citizen-centered services.

Today, State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development PS Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya presided over the send-off of the 5th batch of the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS), where officers will pursue postgraduate studies in Japan.

In her remarks, Dr. Imbunya appreciated the Government of Japan and JICA for their steadfast support, noting that “Japan’s generosity and commitment to capacity building in Kenya has been a hallmark of our bilateral cooperation. Through this scholarship, we are investing in a generation of leaders who will shape the policies, strategies, and systems that drive good governance and economic growth.”
