PS IMBUNYA INSPECTS KSG VIHIGA CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION WORKS

The Kenya School of Government (KSG) is mandated to build a competent, ethical, and results-oriented public service through training, research, and advisory services.

The institution plays a central role in strengthening public sector capacity by training and developing public officers at both national and county levels, covering induction, mid-career, and senior leadership programmes.

KSG also builds leadership, governance, and management capacity across the public service, supports public sector reforms by aligning skills with government priorities and development agendas, and undertakes policy-oriented research to inform public administration and governance.

In addition, the School provides advisory and consultancy services to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), county governments, and other public institutions, promotes ethics and professionalism in public service, offers customised training programmes based on Training Needs Assessments (TNAs), and collaborates with local and international institutions on governance and capacity building.

On Thursday, 29th, the Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Dr Jane Kere Imbunya, conducted an inspection tour of the ongoing construction works at the Kenya School of Government (KSG), Vihiga Campus.

Dr Imbunya noted that KSG, as a state corporation under the State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development, plays a strategic role in strengthening leadership, governance, and capacity across all levels of government.

She said the inspection aimed to assess the current status of the project following the resumption of works and to confirm compliance with the approved scope, cost, and quality standards, in line with government accountability and value-for-money requirements
