PS Imbunya Meets Youth Coalition Ahead of Coalition of Youth for Devolution Festival

Principal Secretary, State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Dr. Jane Imbunya, today received a delegation from the Coalition of Youth for Devolution at Harambee House during a courtesy call.

The team officially invited the State Department to participate in the 2nd Edition of the Youth Devolution Festival, scheduled for October 1–3, 2025, in Kajiado County.
This year’s festival will run under the theme “Harnessing Devolution through Youth Empowerment, Innovation, and Job Creation for Economic Growth.”

It will serve as a platform for Kenyan youth to strengthen skills development, entrepreneurship, and climate-smart agriculture, as well as explore opportunities in digital innovation and inclusive governance. The event will also provide space for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and regional partnerships to enhance the success of devolution.

Dr. Imbunya assured the delegation that the State Department will send policy experts, counselling professionals, and youth delegates from the public service to engage with participants.

She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to youth inclusion in public service, policy reforms, and human capital development, noting that young people must be given meaningful opportunities to contribute to national growth.

Present at the meeting were Japheth Amimo, Technical Advisor to the PS, Yvonne Kibara, Assistant Director PSR, and Eunice Mayaka, Assistant Director PSR.
