STRENGTHENING THE BODA BODA SECTOR THROUGH CAPACITY BUILDING

The Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development Dr Jane Kere Imbunya held a meeting with Mr Kevin Mubadi, HSC, National Executive Chairman of the BodaBoda Safety Association of Kenya (BAK), at her Harambee House office on Monday, 16th March 2026.

The discussions focused on brainstorming solutions to key challenges affecting the boda boda sector across the country, with the aim of enhancing safety, professionalism, and economic opportunities for riders.

They also explored plans for a forthcoming consultative meeting that will bring together Boda Boda County Coordinators to strengthen coordination and develop practical strategies for the sector.

The meeting further highlighted the importance of Human Capital Development through capacity building and structured training programmes, to be undertaken in collaboration with the Kenya School of Government, to empower riders with skills that promote safety, compliance, and sustainable livelihoods.
