Strengthening Regional Collaboration for Public Service Excellence
The Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Dr Jane Kere Imbunya, today presided over the official opening ceremony of the Joint Technical Committee (JTC) meeting between the State Department and the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) in Naivasha.
The two-day meeting brings together technical teams to deliberate on the implementation of a Pan-African collaborative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening capacity building in the public service. The engagement underscores Kenya’s commitment to regional cooperation and the continuous professional development of public servants to enhance service delivery across the continent.
Speaking during the opening session, Dr Imbunya emphasized the importance of partnerships in driving transformation within the public sector.
“Regional collaboration is key to building a competent, agile, and future-ready public service.Through this partnership with ESAMI, we are laying a strong foundation for shared learning, innovation, and sustainable capacity development across Africa,” she noted.
The ESAMI delegation was led by Dr. Peter Kiuluku, Director General, alongside other senior officials, reaffirming the Institute’s commitment to supporting member states in strengthening governance and public sector management.
